Fox Defensive Training

If you keep a gun in the home for self defense, or if you've considered getting a carry permit, then YOU NEED THESE COURSES! The modern martial arts weapon is the firearm. Handguns are the best tool for daily carry and Fox Defensive Training is one of the best sources for real world training.

Experienced shooters and those with carry permits can benefit from Continuing Education including Point Shoot/Night Shoot Training and Unarmed Skills for the Armed Citizen Courses.

Why should you train with me?

My focus is only on practical shooting skills. What's taught has been proven by those forced to use these skills in real life. Most other permit instructors only have you fire 30-50 rounds using the sights and hitting the bulls eye. I FIND THAT UNACCEPTABLE! Real gunfights happen fast (appx. 2-3 seconds avg.), in close quarters (Usually less than 21 feet), and often in low light situations. I teach moving and shooting (Get-off-the- “X”), 1 and 2 hand point shooting skills for contact range to 7 yds. Including low light and darkness without a flashlight! I do include some precision sighted fire practice and encourage everyone to maintain precision shooting skills that can come in handy for some situations, but gun sights are rarely seen by those who have been involved in shootings. I explain the physiological changes to the human mind and body and how it affects you in extreme situations. It's also important that you learn the legalities of self defense. My mission is to help you to stay alive AND out of prison!

I MAKE HOUSE CALLS. Arrange for unarmed or armed training to come to your own home or property by just getting a few friends or relatives together.

POINT SHOOT-

NIGHT SHOOT COURSE

(A Real-World Skill Building Course)

You have a gun for defense, but what training have you had in real-world combat shooting? If you only have trained to aim with the sights then you are NOT prepared for most gunfights. You should be well rounded in various skills, but you must first prepare for the most likely situations. Most self defense shootings happen in LOW LIGHT, at less than 7 yds, and it is a fact that you WILL NOT be able to line up the sights for precision shooting IN MOST GUNFIGHTS*. For true defensive preparedness you must be able to accurately shoot without using the sights, in a reactive gunfight where the precision skills will not work. There are ways to train this skill set with NO FLASHLIGHT**!

(* Precision shooting skills are still encouraged. There is a continuum from unsighted to fully sighted fire.  You may have the time, distance, and control to make sighted shots, but that is still VERY rare. Law Enforcement stats STILL show an 85-90% miss rate, yet they all can pass a sighted shooting qual.)

(** I will also recommend training with a flashlight. Other instructors offer that training.)

Course Length: Appx. 2 hours

Course Cost (including targets): $45 (Range Fee Not Included)

Course Requirements: Must have a handgun in good working order (any caliber, but best to use what you carry), 2 magazines and 200-250 rds of ammo. (No holster for this.)
